Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I’m introducing a new topic on My Vibrant Kitchen… a CRAFTS section. Woohoo!
Now that summer is coming to an end and the days are getting chillier and shorter, I’m looking forward to cozy afternoons spend in the kitchen as well as on the living room floor letting my crafty side loose.
And what better way to kick off the new section then with a food related DIY which is perfect for all the upcoming holiday family feasts and dinner parties!
Let me introduce you to my DIY crystal food label or place card holders! Beautiful crystals, silver, gold or copper coloured wire, depending on the colour theme of your table scape, with a little loop which holds your guests place cards or the labels for the dishes. They make lovely little home made gifts as well!
This DIY is both absolutely stunning and ridiculously easy at the same time.
You will need:
- Wooden spoon
Wrap the wire tightly around your crystal, decide how high you want the card holder to be and then cut the wire about 2 cm longer to allow room for the loop.
Loop the wire end twice around the handle of the wooden spoon to create a double loop. Stick a place card in the loop to make sure it sits nice and snug and adjust if necessary.
Repeat until you’ve used up all the crystals.
And that’s it. Told you it was easy!
